NetSuite Record Explorer Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 20, 2026
NetSuite Record Explorer is a Chrome extension that lets you view the fields of the NetSuite record you have open and copy them to your clipboard.
Data collection
None. The extension does not collect, store remotely, or transmit any data. It has no analytics, no telemetry, no remote code, and no server of its own.
How your data is handled
- Record data is read from the NetSuite page only when you invoke the extension (by clicking its icon or pressing its keyboard shortcut).
- What you copy goes to your clipboard and nowhere else.
- The only network requests the extension makes are to the NetSuite origin you are already viewing (the record's XML view and the Records Catalog schema), using your existing NetSuite session. No request leaves NetSuite.
- A cache of NetSuite field schemas (field IDs, labels, and types, never record values) is stored locally in your browser via Chrome's extension storage, so repeat visits are faster. Removing the extension deletes it.
Permissions
The extension requests the minimum permissions needed: activeTab and
scripting to read the record on the current tab when you invoke it,
clipboardWrite and offscreen to copy text to your clipboard, and
storage for the local schema cache described above.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted at this same address with an updated date.
